Anne Hathaway Wore Valentino Haute Couture To The Bvlgari Eclettica High Jewelry Event

Bvlgari unveiled Eclettica in Milan, a new collection spanning high jewellery, watches, high jewellery bags, and perfumes. At the heart of the collection are nine star creations, gathered under the name Capolavori—the Italian word for “masterpieces”—selected as the pinnacle of creativity, original aesthetics, and technical precision.

Anne Hathaway was in attendance, no doubt hand-selecting pieces for her upcoming press tours for Mother Mary, The Devil Wears Prada 2, The Odyssey, Flowervale Street, and Verity this year.

The actress delivered a full Angelina moment, stepping out in a Valentino Spring 2025 Haute Couture gown that carried all the presence required for a Bvlgari high jewellery unveiling. The moiré raspberry hue does the heavy lifting, with the cape sleeves framing the upper body while the full skirt brings scale. This is Haute Couture at high impact. I love how she always unapologetically gets dressed up for these occasions, as you should in a high jewellery setting.

Why the Angelina reference? Anne wore the dress back to front, echoing Angelina’s memorable 2009 SAG Awards Max Azria moment. In this case, it’s a smart decision. The original neckline is high, but reversing it creates a plunging front that redirects the focus exactly where it needs to be.

And that focus is the Emerald Strata necklace. The deep V neckline opens up the décolletage, allowing the piece to sit cleanly and take centre stage against the rich texture of the gown. The contrast between the saturated pink and the vivid green heightens the impact of the jewellery.

This is yet again a well-judged Bvlgari outing. Anne understands the assignment every time. The look was completed with a Bvlgari Ginkgo crystal-embellished clutch.
