Celebrities at the Vogue Australia Summer Ball 2026
I was so mesmerised by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Armani Privé at the Vogue Australia Summer Ball 2026 on Friday that it barely registered anyone else was in the room.

Corset Chaos On The Carpet
Rita Ora. Where do you even begin? This Ottolinger Spring 2026 corseted look feels like it was pulled from a theatrical fitting rather than selected for a summer ball. The proportions are chaotic, the layering fussy, and the sheer gloves only add to the confusion. It veers straight into costume territory, and not in a clever way. There is rarely any middle ground with Rita; she either delivers or completely misses. On this occasion, it is the latter. The look was styled with Paspaley jewels.

Vintage Versace, Modern Dilemma
Hailey Bieber wore a vintage Versace Spring 2006 yellow gown which, in terms of colour, is ideal for a summer soirée. However, the silhouette and embellishment feel stuck in their original era. Not every archival pull translates seamlessly, and this is one of those cases. I can imagine Alessandra Ambrosio, Izabel Goulart, or Elsa Hosk gliding down the Cannes red carpet in this and making it work, but here it feels dated rather than revived.

Soft Grey, Strong Impact
Phoebe Tonkin kept things understated in a dove grey Balenciaga Spring 2026 chiffon gown styled with Paspaley jewels. The soft draping and muted tone offer a welcome palate cleanser amid the high drama elsewhere. It is elegant, refined, and entirely in tune with her usual red carpet approach.
