Tessa Thompson Wore Chanel Promoting ‘His & Hers’

Despite still campaigning for Hedda this awards season, Tessa Thompson has also been out this week promoting her new Netflix series, His & Hers.

The actress was spotted heading to a New York City press junket wearing a Chanel Spring 2026 knit skirt suit on Thursday.

At first glance, the look leans heavily into the house’s heritage. It brings to mind ladies who lunch, film festival juries, and gallery openings. But under Matthieu Blazy, the narrative slightly shifts. The introduction of sheerness, and a fine check net top layered beneath the knit, adds an edge that unsettles the expected. That transparency reframes the suit entirely, turning something familiar into something a bit more modern.

Some may feel that even with the sheer element, this look sits outside the cooler emotional register of Tessa’s style. I disagree. The shades, her body language, and the way she carries the look do much of the work here. Her confidence keeps it from feeling overly prim.

I will admit, I am even coming around to the two tone Chanel shoes. The look was complete with Chanel bag and sunglasses.
