Celebrities at ‘The Housemaid’ LA Premiere
Another day, another The Housemaid premiere, and I can’t help but wonder just how many red carpets this film actually needs.

Déjà Vu Dressing
I’d bet most of you saw Sydney Sweeney’s white gown and immediately thought Miu Miu. It has all the familiar calling cards: the plunging neckline, the soft vintage bombshell reference. This time, however, the look was custom Galia Lahav—and therein lies the issue.
There’s nothing wrong with the gown itself. It’s beautifully made, impeccably fitted, and undeniably flattering. But placed alongside her recent red carpet appearances, it blends right in. If you were to flip through Sydney’s looks like a deck of cards, it would be hard to tell one from another. The silhouettes blur together, the references repeat, and the impact dulls as a result.
This isn’t a call for her to abandon glamour, lose her sex appeal or fire her team. It’s simply a plea for evolution. She’s capable of more range than this, and heading into 2026, a reset would feel timely. Jacob & Co. high jewellery completed the look.

Copper Comeback
Amanda Seyfried fared better in a shimmering copper Monse Pre-Fall 2025 dress. After a run of looks that failed to spark much excitement, this felt like a welcome shift. The colour suits her beautifully, and I adore the fluid drape. That said, the Tiffany & Co. necklace felt mismatched for the dress and the occasion. It reads more Met Gala or European film festival than a premiere at the TCL Chinese Theatre. Sometimes the simplest styling choices are the ones that let a look land properly—and this might have been one of those moments.

Clean Tailoring Wins
Brandon Sklenar kept things straightforward in tailoring by Giuliva Heritage. Clean, classic, and well-fitted, it did exactly what men’s red carpet dressing should be: effortless.
