Zoe Saldana Wore Balmain To The ‘Avatar: Fire And Ash’ European Premiere
You were largely underwhelmed by Zoe Saldana’s Saint Laurent look at the world premiere of Avatar: Fire And Ash, with many of you feeling it didn’t carry enough weight for such a major occasion. It lacked the sense of grandeur the event demanded, and for once, subtlety didn’t land in her favour.

But for the European premiere held in Boulogne-Billancourt, France, Zoe arrived in a custom Balmain design inspired by the house’s Pre-Fall 2025 collection, and this time, the impact was immediate.

The sculpted, embellished corseted bodice created a dramatic architectural shape through the torso, giving the look structure, attitude, and real red carpet presence. I’m especially glad Balmain removed the animal print seen in the lookbook version — it simply doesn’t carry the same weight.

I love how the peplum-style flare through the waist added visual drama from all angles, while the sleek black column skirt kept the look streamlined and elegant.

This Balmain moment felt far more aligned with the occasion, her stature, and what many of us expect when Zoe steps onto a global premiere stage.

Cartier jewellery completed the look.
