Jessie Buckley Wore Valentino To The ‘Hamnet’ LA Premiere
Jessie Buckley joined her co-star Isabela Merced for the Los Angeles premiere of Hamnet on Tuesday, and I have to say, I’m enjoying this new minimalist chapter she seems to be exploring.

I have always adored her red carpet chaos — it’s part of what makes her style so intriguing to watch — but with awards season on the horizon, the shift makes sense. As history has shown, even the queen of red carpet chaos Lady Gaga felt she had to tone down her style to win those big prizes.
What I like most about this Valentino Spring 2026 gown is that it manages to balance restraint and impact in a way that feels refreshing for her. To me, the most important part of this look is the plunging neckline; not only does it beautifully frame the bodice, but it also keeps the dress from leaning anywhere near “nun’s habit” territory.
It was stunning on the runway, with the sheer black panels billowing and adding to the softness and elegance, but it translates even better on the red carpet.
People underestimate the power of such a simple choice as a red lip; it injects a touch of glamour without overwhelming the minimalist vision.
This might be a new Jessie, but it doesn’t feel like she’s losing herself — just refining the dial. And if this is the energy she’s taking into the season, I’m very intrigued.
Jessica McCormack earrings completed her look.
