Kylie Jenner and Valentino: A Fashion Match That Doesn’t Fit
Kylie Jenner surprised me with an Instagram this week with a post captioned only, “?.”

The look? A sheer pink lace bodysuit with fur cuffs and matching lace tights, styled exactly as it appeared on the Valentino Fall 2025 runway. Bold? Absolutely. But this wasn’t Kylie wearing Valentino so much as Kylie selecting its most controversial look.
Because, truthfully, Kylie is never a Valentino girl.
The brand conjures images of Parker Posey, Maude Apatow, Chloë Sevigny, Elle Fanning, Kirsten Dunst, or even Laufey—women who embody a certain ease and eccentricity that align with Alessandro Michele’s vision. Kylie, however, feels like an outlier.

It’s a pattern we’ve seen before with her fleeting Miu Miu association. While Emma Corrin captured the label’s offbeat charm with ease, Kylie felt misplaced in the campaign, as though the power of her name was meant to fill the gap.
So while the choice was undeniably attention-grabbing, it begs the question: is being controversial enough to bridge the disconnect between Kylie Jenner and Valentino?
