Julia Fox turned the Him LA premiere into her own theatrical stage at the TCL Chinese Theatre on Wednesday night.

The actress showed up in an Erik Charlotte polka-dot fantasy that was impossible to ignore. This wasn’t the usual Julia Fox uniform of shredded denim, latex, or flesh-baring avant-garde cuts. Instead, she leaned into costume drama—quite literally.

The look felt plucked straight from the 1940s-50s pin-up playbook, with a dash of My Fair Lady fantasy. The corseted halter silhouette hugged her figure in that old-school, hourglass way, while the oversized, feather-trimmed hat gave it an exaggerated, almost campy couture flourish. It was part Dita Von Teese burlesque glam, part Who Framed Roger Rabbit cartoon seductress, and part Westwood-esque punk theatre. The polka dots only added to the playfulness—cheeky, bold, and deliciously retro.

What made this really stand out is how unexpected it was from Julia. She’s known for pushing boundaries with looks that veer raw, grungy, or aggressively deconstructed, but here she channeled a different kind of provocation. It wasn’t about shock value through exposure, but rather through sheer audacity of character dressing. This was Julia stepping into high-camp fashion storytelling, and I have to say—I absolutely love everything about it.

With sheer stockings and two-tone pumps, the styling screamed mid-century fashion illustrations come to life. But the smirk, the pose, the wink of irony—it was pure Julia Fox.
