Menswear End Of The Week Red Carpet Roundup
Here’s a look at the menswear that made headlines this week, ranging from red carpet premieres to the NFL sidelines.

The Thursday Murder Club New York Special Screening
If you’re old enough to recall Goldfinger, when Sean Connery’s James Bond stepped out in an ivory dinner jacket looking impossibly suave, you’ll understand why Pierce Brosnan instantly brought that same energy in his Tom Ford suit. Fresh from wearing a Thom Sweeney blue suit on Jimmy Fallon, this time the British actor opted for a summer-ready ivory dinner jacket, striking the perfect balance between classic and contemporary. The key? The pairing of ivory with a black polka dot tie and matching pocket square, anchored by sleek black trousers.

Caught Stealing Austin, TX Special Screening
Austin Butler made his first stateside red carpet appearance for his new film, which also stars Zoë Kravitz. With her absent from the screening, he took on PR duties solo. Wearing shades of blue that he should absolutely embrace more often, the look had an understated retro feel. My immediate reaction was imagining him saying, “Can you pop your hood, ma’am?”—it’s very ‘70s car mechanic in vibe. While the structured, tailored pieces I expect from him will likely appear at the bigger premieres, this was an easy, casual choice that felt appropriate for a smaller screening.

NFL preseason opener
Travis Kelce kicked off his 13th year with the Kansas City Chiefs over the weekend, stepping out in a look that read as both stylish and purposeful. Wearing Jil Sander, he paired a black open-knit polo shirt with matching trousers, accessorised with a monogrammed Louis Vuitton silver LV Sailor necklace, a Bottega Veneta Intrecciato Cabin Duffle bag, and Jacques Marie Mage Enzo sunglasses. Known for his love of bold colours, this pared-back black moment felt like a statement in itself—he’s here on business and clearly has his sights set on another Super Bowl ring.

King and Conqueror London Premiere
James Norton’s tailoring has always been delightfully unconventional, but his latest Giorgio Armani look from the Fall 2025 collection pushed the boundaries in a way that didn’t quite land for me. While the grey chevron-print double-breasted, shawl-lapel suit brought visual interest, the combination of bold contrasting print and trouser length made the proportions feel off. I usually appreciate his risk-taking, but here the balance was lost—lengthening the trousers alone might have completely transformed the look.

I’ve always been a big fan of Luther Ford’s style, but trust me when I say last night’s London heatwave was not the time for this Miu Miu ensemble. A waxed suede leather jacket, a knit high-neck sweater, and grey wool trousers in that weather? That’s less season appropriate and more “self-imposed sauna session.” Absolutely not.
