Paul Mescal Delivers a Triple Dose of Gucci at Cannes Film Festival
Paul Mescal served up a trio of Gucci looks at Cannes Film Festival while promoting his upcoming film, The History of Sound. He stars alongside Josh O’Connor, who made his 2025 festival debut today—more on his arrival style shortly.

Kering in Motion Awards
Surrounded by a sea of glamorous gowns, Paul held his own with an end-of-the-night energy he wears so well—undone, slightly rugged, and thoroughly charming. His classic Gucci tuxedo, complete with cummerbund, walked that fine line between refined and rakish. It’s the kind of nonchalant elegance that can’t be faked.

Premiere
For the film’s premiere, Paul went the custom route, this time in a double-breasted Gucci tuxedo paired with a black necktie shirt. The shirt was such a sleek twist—somewhere between formal, retro and fashion-forward. Clean, sharp, and effortlessly cool. It was easily one of his best menswear moments of this festival.

Photocall
Yesterday’s photocall saw Paul lean into his usual brand of quiet sophistication. A navy Gucci suit paired with a chambray shirt gave the whole look a relaxed, unfussy energy that still read as completely considered. Classic loafers completed this look.
It’s safe to say Paul Mescal and Gucci are still a winning duo—and this Cannes run proves it three times over.
