Cannes Film Festival 2025: Menswear Edition
The girls may steal the spotlight with flowing gowns and jaw-dropping trains, but the boys at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival said, “hold our tailored lapels.” From Jeremy Strong’s pastel power to Anson Boon’s effortless beach-to-black-tie transition, the gents brought charm, polish, and just enough personality to keep things interesting.

Jury Photocall
On Tuesday we wear Pink
Jeremy Strong showed up to the Jury Photocall like a man who’s very secure in his fashion choices—and we love that for him. Day one at Cannes saw the Succession star embracing soft pastel energy in a relaxed custom Loro Piana look that whispered “quiet luxury” while his pink bucket hat screamed “stylish dad on vacation.” Finished with Lanvin Clay mesh sneakers, Jacques Marie Mage sunglasses, and a Richard Mille timepiece that could probably fund a film or two, Jeremy brought both vibes and valuables.

Opening Ceremony
Suited and Booted
Anson Boon continues to top the leaderboard of best-dressed British actors—no arguments. At the Opening Ceremony, he made a convincing case for timeless menswear in a pristine Celine tuxedo that was sharp, sleek, and gave us heart-eyes. Styled with a TAG Heuer Carrera Day-Date watch, it’s clear this man understands that the devil is in the wrist details. Someone give him a globe-trotting press tour immediately—we need more Boon.

New tux, same Leo
Water is wet, the sky is blue, and Leonardo DiCaprio is at Cannes in a black Celine tux. Yes, we’ve seen this classic look on him before—probably in 1999, 2006, and last year too—but there’s a comfort in his consistency. He’s the dependable tuxedo king. And honestly? If it ain’t broke, don’t tailor it.

Midnight blue and Berluti dreams
As Master of Ceremony, Laurent Lafitte had every reason to look flawless—and his bespoke midnight blue Berluti tuxedo delivered. Paired with black patent leather Alessandro shoes, the actor showcased why Berluti belongs in the holy trinity of tailoring alongside Armani and Dolce & Gabbana. This was a lesson in the art of the cut: elegant, confident, and unbothered.

Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning Premiere
Peak lapel perfection
Welcome back, Greg Tarzan Davis. Making his return to the red carpet for the Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning premiere, Davis had jaws dropping in a Dior Men’s Winter 2025 look by Kim Jones. A black wool peak lapel bar coat, white wool trousers, and shiny patent derbies? It sounds too editorial to work in real life—but oh, it worked. If elegance could strut, it would wear this. BDOTY contender? Absolutely.

A piping hot twist on the classic
Simon Pegg usually leans playful with his suits, but at Cannes, he kept things classic with a twist. His Paul & Joe Fall 2025 suit featured unexpected white piping that gave the black ensemble a clean, modern edge. Add in Christian Louboutin shoes, plus jewelry from Giovanni Raspini and Piccadilly Vaults, and Pegg proved he knows how to quietly slay.

Vanity Fair lunch
Sunkissed, shirted, and styled
Anson Boon started his Cannes experience at the Vanity Fair lunch, giving vacation-core realness in a Hawaiian shirt that felt absolutely correct for the beachside setting. Celine CT-07 low top sneakers, 59 black frame sunglasses, and his trusty TAG Heuer watch completed the ensemble. It was relaxed, and confident
