Genevieve O’Reilly Wore Sportmax To The ‘Star Wars’ Japan Celebration
Genevieve O’Reilly, who returns as the ever-composed Mon Mothma in season two of Andor, brought a touch of high-fashion sci-fi to the ‘Star Wars’ Celebration, wearing a look that felt lifted straight from a futuristic fashion galaxy.

The Sportmax Spring 2025 ensemble featured a square-shouldered red top that could double as modern art. The sculptural silhouette and architectural lines felt perfectly on brand for both the character and the genre—commanding yet minimal, sleek but impactful. It’s giving rebel leader, and fashion innovator.
The cocoon-shaped trousers were intended to mirror that bold silhouette, but unfortunately, their length slightly diluted the drama. Had they been hemmed to match the runway’s original proportions, we would’ve really seen the shape pop.
As for the shoes, metallic pumps added a space-age sparkle that works thematically, but I would’ve loved a red leather pump to tie the look together with a stronger sense of continuity. Still, there’s something charming about leaning into that galactic gleam.
Overall, this was a look that made sense for both Genevieve and Mon Mothma—structured, stoic, and quietly commanding, with a splash of avant-garde flair.
