Rachel Zegler Wore Paolo Sebastian Couture To The ‘Snow White’ Tokyo Premiere

I’ll be honest—I had my reservations about Rachel Zegler’s Snow White press tour. Would it be a parade of Dior? A series of those muted off-grey dresses she seems to adore? Would it lack the magic that a Disney press tour deserves?

But the moment Rachel stepped onto the Tokyo premiere red carpet, all doubts melted away. I swear, I could hear When You Wish Upon a Star playing in the background as she embodied the Disney magic that makes a fairytale press tour truly special. You guys know how much I love a properly executed Disney-inspired run—we haven’t had one since Lily James’ Cinderella tour in 2015, and I’ve been waiting patiently.

What hooked me immediately was Rachel’s custom Paolo Sebastian Couture gown. This wasn’t just a beautiful dress; it was a storytelling moment. The exposed corset and caged beige design were already stunning, but the real magic was in the details—the intricate ‘daggered heart box’ motif (entirely crafted from crimson and garnet Swarovski crystals) referencing the original 1937 animated classic. And then there’s the blade of the dagger—made from two mirror shards. A subtle yet brilliant nod to the Magic Mirror. This is how you bring cinematic history to life through fashion.

It’s this level of detail that sells the look. It’s more than just a gown; it’s a direct connection to Disney’s visual storytelling and one of the most iconic elements in the entire Snow White narrative. And you know how much I love a well-executed theme.

Then she took it one step further with a red hooded opera coat—another nod to classic fairy-tale imagery, this time evoking Little Red Riding Hood. The drama! The commitment! The addition of Fred Leighton jewels sealed the deal, giving the entire ensemble a timeless, almost regal finish.

Now, I know what you’re thinking: “Is this going to be another heavily thematic press tour?” And honestly? It should be. You can’t sell Snow White without embracing a bit of fairy-tale fantasy. Especially in these early stages of the tour, this level of commitment is expected. And frankly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
