Vicky Krieps Wore Chanel & Bottega Veneta To The Berlin Film Festival

Vicky Krieps is at the 2025 Berlin Film Festival promoting her new film Hot Milk, the directorial debut of British filmmaker Rebecca Lenkiewicz. And while her opening ceremony and photocall looks couldn’t have been more different, there was one common thread—over-the-knee boots.

Opening Ceremony

The Luxembourgish-German actress wore a Chanel Pre-Fall 2025 black and gold tweed-embellished jacket, adorned with frogging and jewel-encrusted buttons, layered over a matching dress. The pièce de résistance? A chic veil-adorned hat that added a touch of mystery. But Vicky didn’t just rely on vintage vibes—she grounded the look with patent leather Chanel over-the-knee boots, which served a practical purpose, too. With Berlin’s chilly February temperatures, those boots were more necessity than accessory.

Earlier today, Vicky switched gears, debuting the statement-making Bottega Veneta Canalazzo over-the-knee boots. These cream boots, which exudes modern sophistication, were paired with a blue wool knit sweater and a brown leather belted coat from the Bottega Veneta Resort 2025 collection. While some might question the colour combination, I think the cream boots were a brilliant choice, perfectly in line with the brand’s signature mix of contrasting hues. Had she chosen brown, the look could have felt too one-note. The ensemble was completed with Bottega Veneta Drop earrings, adding the perfect finishing touch.

Two completely different looks, one standout styling trick: Vicky Krieps knows how to make a booted entrance.
