Angelina Jolie Wore Elie Saab To The 2025 Critics’ Choice Awards

Angelina Jolie attended the 2025 Critics’ Choice Awards on Friday evening, following being honoured at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival earlier in the week.

I’m sure when you saw “Elie Saab” in the title, you momentarily got excited. But then, scrolled down to see this pale nude lace gown from the Spring 2025 collection. Because of all the Elie Saab gowns available, why this one?

If I didn’t know better, I would have assumed she sourced this from a vintage boutique—there’s just something about it that reads “delicate heirloom” rather than fresh-off-the-runway. Does anyone else feel the same?

Angelina, of course, is stunning no matter what, but this look feels surprisingly old-fashioned, even by her standards. We know she loves a classic vintage moment, but this particular choice leans more dusty attic discovery than timeless elegance.

And while we’re here—can we talk about the blonde hair? I know it’s been around since the Venice Film Festival, but I still can’t warm to it. There’s just something about her signature brunette that anchors her presence, and without it, I’m kinda lost.

Matching Jimmy Choo Max pumps completed the look, but overall? I can’t help but feel a little… underwhelmed.
