Daisy Ridley Wore Atsuko Kudo Couture To ‘Young Woman and The Sea’ London Premiere
Following her press tour in the US, Daisy Ridley returned to London for the premiere of her new film, ‘Young Woman and The Sea,’ held at The Curzon Mayfair this evening.
Just as it seemed Daisy had settled into a pattern of blue and white outfits for this press tour, she made a striking change by wearing a black latex Atsuko Kudo Couture dress with Boucheron jewels.
While latex dresses often bring to mind their provocative origins, they have become more mainstream in fashion, partly due to the influence of ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ and celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Rita Ora.
Daisy’s choice of a black latex dress demonstrates that this material can indeed create a sophisticated fashion moment.
This is particularly noteworthy as puff sleeve dresses typically conjure up images of delicate spring attire adorned with floral prints. Daisy’s latex dress defies these expectations, offering a bold and modern twist.
Adding an interesting contrast to her look, Daisy, who has mostly been seen in black shoes during this tour, opted for white shoes this time.
This choice added an unexpected yet refreshing element to her ensemble, making her stand out even more on this red carpet.
I’m mildly obsessed with this look.
Update: Thanks to Kiran who made the connection between this dress and the swimming cap in the poster behind Daisy.
