Yara Shahidi Wore Simkhai To The ‘Extrapolations’ LA Premiere

Yara Shahidi joined Gemma Chan, Eiza González and Sienna Miller on the red carpet for the premiere of ‘Extrapolations’ held at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles, California, on Tuesday (March 14).

We can always rely on the ‘Grown-ish’ star to bring us something new, which is why this Simkhai Jones Menswear Remixed draped corset midi dress from the Spring 2023 collection is so intriguing.

This dress was all about shaping new frontiers by deconstructing silhouettes, as the corset bodice looks like a reconfigured shirt, while the bottom half looks like a deconstructed trench coat which seamlessly blends into one beautiful hybrid garment.

There are times when a deconstructed look doesn’t appear to be wearable for us mere mortals, but I love the easy wearability and elegance of this entire look.
