Michelle Williams Wore Chanel Haute Couture To The 2023 Oscars
Michelle Williams attended the 2023 Oscars on Sunday (March 12), where she was nominated in the Best Actress category for her film, ‘The Fabelmans.’
After wearing a lot of black (and black and white) during her promote, she opted to wear a custom white Chanel Haute Couture cadi and tulle embroidered bustier dress embellished with a white satin bow in the back and a white embroidered silk tulle cape closed with a jewelled button.
The bustier of the dress was entirely embroidered with silver and white sequins and pearls, inspired by look 47 from the Spring 2023 Haute Couture collection, while the starry embroidery composed of strass, sparkles, cubes and silver settings fading towards the bottom of the dress and on the cape was inspired by look 39.
Individually those looks wouldn’t have worked for Michelle on this red carpet, but their inspiration combined to create one of the best custom Chanel looks we’ve seen in quite some time.
