2022 Guggenheim International Gala Made Possible By Dior

Alexandra Daddario
2022 Guggenheim International Gala

The Guggenheim International Gala, made possible by Dior, which celebrates the Guggenheim’s yearly accomplishments and raises essential funds to further the museum’s range of internationally acclaimed exhibitions, educational programs, and forward-thinking initiatives, took place on Wednesday (November 9) in New York City, with a few of the brands favourite celebrities in attendance.

Alexandra Daddario has become one of my favourite Dior girls in recent times.

Her selects can range from ethereal, contemporary to a little risqué under the lights, and on this occasion, she wore a Dior Fall 2022 Haute Couture wool crepe dress enhanced with embroidered scrolls and volutes which has a grand Victorian feel to it.

Dior shoes and Dior Fine Jewelry completed her classic look.

Thuso Mbedu
2022 Guggenheim International Gala

I wasn’t a fan of Thuso Mbedu’s LACMA Art + Film gala look, but I loved the elegance of this Dior Fall 2022 Haute Couture beige canvas dress embroidered with an openwork black foliage pattern.

I would’ve taken the hem up an inch or two to be inch perfect.

Nina Dobrev
2022 Guggenheim International Gala

You’ll be looking at Nina Dobrev in this Dior Fall 2022 printed silk taffeta dress with a mild case of déjà vu.

That’s because you’ve seen this print on Lily Collins who wore a skirt from the same collection to the Academy Museum Gala.

The colours from the print gave her a wealth of choices for footwear.

Tan, brown, nude…but she selected black, which I don’t feel was the right choice for either the Dior bag or the shoes.

Dior Fall 2022
Norah Jones

Norah Jones was the surprise for me on this red carpet, although her music will forever live in my internal jukebox.

The singer wore a Dior Resort 2023 black lace dress and shawl styled with a Dior belt, shoes and Dior Fine Jewelry.

When it comes to this look, it’s all about the ‘80s perm for me.

It’s giving me warm vibes thinking of all my favourite singers from that period. Whitney Houston, Gloria Estefan, Janet Jackson and Paula Abdul.

Rachel Brosnahan

Rachel Brosnahan wore a Dior ivory 30 Montaigne bar jacket and flared trousers styled with Dior Lady-D Joy bag.

I’m only buying the jacket here as I think the trousers appear too big for her, even though they are flares.

Isabela Merced

I swooned when I saw Isabela Merced in this Dior red silk dress.

Her style is usually typically very Gen-Z.  But I love elevated elegance on this occasion.

Granted, this is not a ground-breaking design, but she was easily my favourite at this event.

Dior Jewelry completed her look.

Maye Musk

Maye Musk wore a Dior Haute Couture navy silk belted blouse and skirt styled with a Dior Lady D-Joy bag and shoes.

This was a typically classic look for the model.

Christian Serratos

Christian Serratos served up a western-inspired Dior Resort 2023 look.

The only thing missing was a drawstring cowboy hat.
