Karim Benzema Won The Ballon d’Or Wearing Fendi

The Ballon d’Or is an annual football award ceremony presented by French news magazine France Football, which celebrates the best footballers (both men and women) of the year.

For a while, the Ballon d’Or has been a two-horse race between Lionel Messi (who has won it seven times) and Cristiano Ronaldo (five).

At last night’s ceremony held at the Theatre Du Chatelet in Paris, Real Madrid and France forward Karim Benzema was awarded to the best footballer of the year – for the first time for scoring 44 goals in 46 games, which helped Real Madrid win the Champions League and La Liga for the 2021-22 season.

Footballers don’t have the best reputation style-wise, but I was fully on board with this Fendi Made To Measure tuxedo.

However, I’m still very much on the fence when it comes to the flat bow tie.

It’s not a red carpet look we are used to seeing, but for all I know this could be a start of a new trend in menswear.
