Mariah Carey Wore Rani Zakhem Couture Performing At The Global Citizen Festival

Mariah Carey is making me feel really old as she celebrates the 25th anniversary of ‘Butterfly,’ during the Global Citizen Festival on Saturday (September 24) in New York City.

The singer was in full diva glam – as we would expect – as she turned high-octane up to the very max wearing a gold and silver crystal beaded custom strapless mermaid gown on tulle by Rani Zakhem. 

This is a gown worthy of someone as powerful as Mariah.

I love how the classic longline silhouette hugs every inch of her curves, while the embellishment ensured that she glittered like the New York sky at night.

And there was more bling to be had, as Mariah wore her Chopard x Mariah Carey Collection ­diamond necklace, a Happy Butterfly x Mariah Carey Collection ring, and earrings from the Chopard Haute Joaillerie Collection.

On anyone else I would’ve said that the necklace was one accessory too far, but this is Mariah. I applaud the excess.
