Helen Mirren Front Row @ Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda & Alta Sartoria

Dolce & Gabbana hosted four events this weekend in Sicily, Italy, starting with the Alta Gioielleria presentation, the Alta Moda Women’s Show, the Show Dinner Party and the Alta Sartoria Men’s Show.
Helen Mirren was in attendance for all four events, and as you would expect she served up some truly breath-taking looks.
We all know how much the British actress loves colour and embellishments, and the Italian duo know that as a fact too, as her custom Dolce & Gabbana fuchsia dress completely drenched in paillettes signals.
The pose tells us just how much she adores this dress.
Alta Gioielleria earrings, pink accessories including a Dolce box clutch and satin pumps completed her look.

I have goosebumps. This – for me – is Helen Mirren at her very best.
It’s hard to upstage such an historic backdrop, but she looked picture perfect wearing a Dolce & Gabbana gold lamé gown which I adore for the hand painted colourful stripes which feels like it was made with love.

She completed her look with a gold foil Dolce box bag which complemented the crystal embellished waist.

No one puts Helen Mirren in a majolica-print corner and expects her not to stand out.
I’m throughly charmed by the delicate nature of this chiffon Dolce & Gabbana gown.

Now this Dolce & Gabbana custom lemon-yellow gown featuring a traditional Sicilian “testa di moro” rivals the gown she wore to the women’s wear show.
The colour, the drapery of the chiffon and the headband are my favourite parts of this look.
