Cynthia Erivo Wore Louis Vuitton To The amfAR Gala Cannes 2022

Cynthia Erivo attended the amfAR Gala Cannes 2022 held at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc on Thursday (May 26) in Cap d’Antibes, France.

It took me a good 30 seconds to figure out what was so different about the British actress, then I realised it was her hair.

Cynthia has had blonde (silver, lavender) hair since 2015, so reverting back to her natural hair colour is a big change.

I think it softens her appearance, or that could be due to the romantic nature of her custom Louis Vuitton gown (a brand she has worn exclusively since the 2022 SAG Awards).

Nicolas Ghesquière consistently serves up maximalism with effortless finesse.

As romantic as this is, it has that same energy, as the simple bodice is upstaged by the voluminous light pink skirt of silk mousseline feathers that speak to the designers penchant for dramatic detailing.

We need to add Cynthia to the Alicia Vikander, Jennifer Connelly, Lea Seydoux list of ‘gets the best custom looks.’ 

Deepika Padukone’s inclusion is still pending.  We need more looks from her.
