Cynthia Erivo Wore Louis Vuitton To The 2022 SAG Awards

Cynthia Erivo was back on the red carpet for the 2022 SAG Awards held at the Barker Hangar on Sunday (February 27), where she is nominated Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Miniseries or Television Movie for her portrayal of the late Aretha Franklin in ‘Genius: Aretha.’

The British actress wore a custom Louis Vuitton vinyl strapless gown with a matching vinyl faux fur cape embroidered with black, red and silver crystals and chains styled with custom vinyl sandals by the French label.

With such a unique and beautiful look for this event, I couldn’t understand why she was so fixated with her nails.

Yes, they match her look, but I feel her focusing so much on her nails, that the outfit was secondary to her.

Perhaps that is because she was trying to distract us from the fit of the bodice, but this could just be a grooming issue, as the dress no doubt shifted on the ride to the venue.  

In short. I wanted to love this more as it’s the kind of look that shakes things up at this event. But it doesn’t sit or fit right.

This material is hard to pull off.
