Here is a roundup from the rest of the looks I have been able to find from the 2022 NAACP Image Awards which was hosted on Saturday (February 26).
Tracee Ellis Ross was electrifying as always wearing an electric blue Saint Laurent Spring 2022 jumpsuit with the runway jewels and Saint Laurent blue toe cap pumps.
You might have hoped that Tracee’s would’ve gone harder with this look, especially considering she is the QUEEN of social media photoshoots, but I still love the energy she’s giving here.
Mary J Blige, who picked up the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for ‘Power Book II: Ghost.’
This purple Tony Ward Couture gown is giving me diva, it’s giving me drama, and it’s also giving me a little dated.
On anyone else this would’ve been a bad thing, but the Queen of Hip Hop Soul – style wise – has always stayed in her lane.
Marsai Martin’s custom Dolce & Gabbana look was a two-for-one, as the pink Swarovski crystal embroidery strapless cocktail dress also featured a draping organza skirt.
Personally, I love the second for this occasion, but the cocktail look feels more youthful.
‘Insecure’ won Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series, yet all we have from Issa Rae is this video of her leaving for the ceremony.
The actress looked beautiful wearing a striking neon pink Monsoori mini dress with a flowing train.
Those of you who don’t like high-low dresses might be swayed by this one, as Issa looks divine, and that hot-pink hue is such a great colour for her.
If you squint, you can make out Halle Berry wearing an Elie Saab Fall 2021 Haute Couture floral gown.
