César Awards 2022 Red Carpet Roundup
Here is a roundup from the rest of the attendees who grace the red carpet for the 2022 Cesar Film Awards ceremony held at L’Olympia on Friday (February 25) in Paris, France.
Agathe Rousselle joined Léa Seydoux in wearing a custom look from Louis Vuitton.
While I was glad that Noémie Merlant removed the black and white ruffled collar from her Berlin Film Festival Louis Vuitton look, Agathe has the personality and style prowess to pull it off.
The embroidery on the dress is beautiful. On most actresses this would’ve been enough.
But as we have seen from the French actress, she doesn’t play it safe; so if anyone was going to pull off this ruffled collared feature, it was going to be Agathe.
As you know I have a very sweet spot for Virginie Efira. She is the epitome of elegance.
Virginie and Dior work so well together, so I wasn’t surprised to see her wearing this Dior Spring 2018 Haute Couture gown.
I adore the sensuality from the scooped neckline, and the micro bow detail at the waist.
Lengthening the look was the right choice for this event as it imbues more of a gala, awards ceremony feel.
Cartier jewels completed her look.
Following the her appearance at the Berlinale Film Festival, Anamaria Vartolomei was back on the red carpet with another Chanel look.
This dress hails from Chanel’s Spring 2022 Haute Couture collection and proves to me – once again – that there are some gems in this collection, despite many of you worrying about awards season looks for Penelope Cruz and Kristen Stewart.
The body of the dress is stunning, but I love how delicate the feathered and embellished skirt feels.
I bet this was beautiful in motion.
Emma Mackey was looking impossibly chic in this ivory three-piece suit.
The ‘Sex Education’ actress was one of my favourites on the night.
Simple, tailored elegance at its finest.
Tiffany & Co. jewels completed her look.
As much as I adore the perforated Alaia Fall 2022 jumpsuit on the runway, I don’t feel like this dress was executed as well as it could’ve been.
I really wanted to be excited by Leïla Bekhti’s dress, but something about it falls flat.
I think I would’ve loved this without the spaghetti straps, and if the bodice was more exposed like the runway.
She should’ve gone for Look 43.
I remember when Adèle Exarchopoulos would really stand out at these events, but I feel like she’s grown up, and with that her style is a bit more mature and understated.
Her Paco Rabanne dress is beautiful. We know the brand for their high-octane glamour, so this is a refreshing change of pace.
The Bvlgari jewellery helps elevate the look.
Lucie Zhang is giving me Rachel Zegler vibes here.
The actress was one of the few to opt for something that wasn’t just black, wearing this Dior Pre Fall 2022 embroidered black tulle dress styled with a mini Lady Dior bag, Rose Dior Bagatelle earrings, ring and bracelet in white gold and diamonds of Dior Joaillerie.
If you felt that this was a sombre red carpet, the 21 year old French actress did her best to bring some fun to the proceedings.
When it comes to Cécile de France wearing this Dior Spring 2022 Haute Couture ecru double-breasted tuxedo, my second thought after swooning over the tailoring was, I wish I didn’t see those black shoes.
When it comes to Audrey Diwan’s Chanel Pre-Fall 2022 dress, I wish I could unbusy that bodice.
Noee Abita brought some sparkle to this red carpet wearing a dress from her go-to brand Celine.
Salomé Dewaels was serving up French maternity chic wearing a Dior Haute Couture off-the-shoulder black dress.
Jeanne Balibar opted not to wear black, so she stood out in her boucle Chanel Pre-Fall 2022 look.
I think she should’ve handed off the cardigan to someone while taking this photo.
Lyna Khoudri was chic in Chanel, but some may feel this is too casual for the event.
The same may apply to Vicky Krieps who also wore Chanel.
Too casual is a phrase that can never be attributed to Elsa Zylberstein.
The French actress always dresses for the occasion. This time she dazzled in Chanel.
Ana Girardot let her Valentino Spring 2022 cut-out dress do all the talking.
