Ramla Ali Wore Christian Dior For Her Boxing Match With Isela Vera

Ramla Ali is a Somali professional boxer, model, author and racial equality activist.

She is the first Somali boxer in history to compete at the Olympic Games and the first female to become a professional boxer.

As we’ve seen this year, fashion and sport have never been closer with Emma Raducanu landing a fashion contract with Dior within weeks of winning the US Open.

Sports stars are also regularly in the front row at fashion week, and standing shoulder to shoulder on the red carpet with models and actors at fashion events like the Met Gala.

I’m sure you raised an eyebrow when you saw a purple and green boxing inspired look taking to the runway during Christian Dior’s Spring 2022 show.

Where was Maria Grazia Chiuri going with this we wondered?

Cut to two months later, and Ramla Ali was conquering the ring in New York on Saturday (November 27) for her boxing match with Isela Vera at Madison Square Gardens wearing a total Dior Spring 2022 look.

Her Dior green and black boxing outfit, composed of shorts with the Dior Vibe logo, and a custom bathrobe brandishing her first name which was also endowed with a belt decorated with the ‘Christian Dior’ signature and a majestic star, exalted by a black panther.

Opting not to wear the bra top we saw on the runway, Ramla’s look was complete with a black silk top, Dior socks and boots.

I high-key want that robe in blue with Kallon on the back.  And the boots as well.
