Maria Sharapova Wore Iris van Herpen Couture To The Fashion Awards 2021

Maria Sharapova wore the most sustainable dress on the red carpet at The Fashion Awards 2021 held at the Royal Albert Hall on Monday (November 29) in London.
The Tennis star teamed up with her long-time brand partner evian and Iris van Herpen to create the first-ever Couture dress made from recycled evian bottles. Â
Developed through the transformation of evian bottles into fabric made from recycled bottles (72%) and organic silk (28%), the intricate and multi-dimensional garment is a creative example of the alternative ways that we can reuse, recycle, and keep plastic out of nature.
The dress, which took over 750 hours to create, will be showcased in 2022 at The Green Metropolis’ launch show in Amsterdam – an inspiring new exhibition founded by Iris and produced by leading experts in the field of couture, architecture and nature.
Silver sandals and Hannah Martin jewels completed her innovative sustainable red carpet look.
