Mindy Kaling Wore Alex Perry To The 2021 SAG Awards

Mindy Kaling has pretty much been our fashion saviour during lockdown, as she has been consistently posting looks despite, by her own admission, having nowhere to go – like the rest of us.

So I was happy to see her having this Cinderella moment where she went to the ball as a presenter for the 2021 SAG Awards.

I was really excited about the colour, and…..that’s it.

I took in the whole of this Alex Perry look, and really, really, really tried to find something….anything to wax lyrical about.  But I failed, as this isn’t up to Mindy’s usual standards.

Creases I could live with, but the pulls on the shoulders and from the waist down, and the lumps on the bodice????

No.

Every look Mindy has presented during quarantine where she has dressed herself has been better than this.

I’m so upset about this.

Even more so now that Chris94 has reminded me that this is the same dress which Deepika Padukone wore last year, which ended up in my BDOTY list.
