2021 Goya Awards

The 2021 Goya Awards took place on Saturday (March 6) in Malaga, Spain, which was also attended by Penelope Cruz.

Like most events during awards season, attendees kept their distance as they glided down the red carpet.

Marta Nieto: This Alberta Ferretti Fall 2020 embellished dress was one of my favourites from this event.  This feels most in tune with the high glamour we are used to seeing at the Goyas.

Aitana:  I think I would’ve been on board with this Versace dress if it was nipped in at the waist. I’m more drawn to a dress when they have some shape to them.

Paz Vega:  I honestly didn’t recognise the actress with longer hair, as the pixie cut had become her signature.

Paz has given us many memorable moments at this event, but this Georges Hobeika Fall 2020 Couture dress – while gorgeous – doesn’t give me the wow factor we all know she’s capable of delivering.

Natalia de Molina: With her blonde hair, I didn’t instantly recognise Natalia either.

She presented one of the more intriguing looks of the night wearing a custom JC Pajares look which featured a crystal embellished bra.

If only the custom trousers were a tad shorter.

Juana Acosta: There was plenty of sparkle radiating from Juana’s Miu Miu look ,which was oozing plenty of flair thanks to her charming Miu Miu tulle skirt.

Veronica Ecjegui: Paco Rabanne is a label famed for iconic sequins. I love how the sensuality of this midi dress is heightened by the cut-out at the waist.

I’m not a fan of the black Louboutins here.  I think she could’ve been more creative with her footwear here.

TOUS Jewelry completed her look.

Milena Smit: I’m not at all familiar with Milena Smit, but she was born to wear this Givenchy Spring 2021 dress.  She has the attitude needed to pull this off.

We saw this worn by Nana Ouyang back in December, but Milena wears this look with a lot more conviction.

Amaia Aberasturi: When Dior presented a number of leather bustiers during their Resort 2021 collection I was sure this item would be worn more by influencers, rather than becoming part of a red carpet look.

However, seeing Amaia wearing this Dior white shirt black tulle skirt, I know this look would’ve been poorer without the bustier. A Dior clutch completed this stunning look.
