Nieves Álvarez Rocks Six Looks For Flash Moda

New year, same Nieves Álvarez, who was giving us nothing but pure glamour while hosting her TV show Flash Moda during the holidays showcasing Spanish designers.

While I will hold my hands up and admit that I am not familiar with any of the designers she wore, but I know high end glamour when I see it, especially when there are feathers involved.

The first three are all from Isabel Sanchis’ Spring 2021 collection.

From the sleek design, to the 3D effect of the flurry of feathers that cascade from the bodice, down her arm, I thought this was my favourite of all the looks.

Then my eyes fell upon this second Isabel Sanchis’ Spring 2021 look, which gives a new meaning to the term bold shoulder.

This – to me – is the very epitome of modern glamour, and it’s also a look I closely associate with the supermodel’s style.

This look also feels quite timeless in that I can imagine models from the ’80s rocking this look.

I don’t dislike this third Isabel Sanchis’ Spring 2021 white look featuring a gold trim, but I think I would’ve been more enthused without the hosiery, and with a totally different shoe.

It almost feels blasphemous me saying that I don’t love her footwear.

The feather theme continued with this Tot-Hom Fall 2020 Haute Couture gown. 

I don’t mind the tights on this occasion – in fact they add to the overall mystic of the look – I just wish that this dress fit a little better, as it looks a bit baggy in places – bodice and hips – on the Nieves.

Did the Wolford bodysuit take away some of the allure from this Tot-Hom Haute Couture look?

Not for me.  We get to see a fresh new way of winter styling for this look. 

However, if you were to ask me which look do I prefer, I would say on the runway.

This red cape Tot-Hom Fall 2020 Haute Couture gown might be giving you flashbacks of Gal Gadot’s Valentino gown worn during her ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ virtual premiere back in December, but I could never tire the sight of a caped gown, especially a red caped gown.

In comparison Gal’s did feel more modern, but this is a stunning moment for Nieves nonetheless.
