2021 Awards Season Calendar

Usually by now I would be gearing up to the first event on the awards season calendar with a multitude of pre-event parties, but the first event won’t be until the 11th January.

I was very surprised to see that the Oscars take place until the end of April, but I think it makes sense to spread out the dates to allow proper planning of each event, and to make sure safety is paramount.

I’m very curious to see what awards season looks like during a pandemic.

Less attendees? Less presenters? Will the awards be virtual or live on the red carpet?

Wednesday 24th – Producers Guild of America Awards (PGA)
Wednesday 31st – Saturday April 10th – Santa Barbara International Film Festival (SBIFF)

APRIL 2021
Saturday 10th – Directors Guild of America Awards (DGA)
Sunday 11th – EE British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA)
Tuesday 13th – Costume Designers Guild Awards (CDG)
Saturday 24th – Film Independent Spirit Awards
Sunday 25th – Academy Awards (AMPAS)
