Regina King Wore Christian Dior Promoting ‘One Night in Miami’
Regina King continued to promote ‘One Night in Miami,’ which is her directorial debut, this week.
The actress have given us one of the best looks of the year at the 2020 Emmy Awards, so I am a little disappointed that I haven’t really been vibing with her recent looks.
I’m going to call this period, the “Greta Gerwig” effect.
A change in style that reads “take me seriously” as a director, which is even more prevalent when the directed film has Oscar-buzz.
When it comes to this Christian Dior Resort 2021 look, I love the idea of the navy linen and silk canvas striped suit, but I feel like it is overwhelming Regina. The trousers especially.
What I don’t like at all is the beige cami she has under her white silk blouse paired with a mesh tie.Â
Perhaps this portion of the look would’ve worked had she worn the waistcoat we saw on the runway, but that would’ve been one more item to weigh down this look.
