Taraji P. Henson stylist Jason Bolden posted this image of his client on his Instagram which he captioned, “Her Love For The Sun 🌞,” ahead of todays announcement that she will host the 2020 American Music Awards, which will air on Sunday, November 22, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC, live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
When it comes to the nominations, The Weeknd and Roddy Ricch lead the way with eight nominations each. Megan Thee Stallion is the most nominated female artist with five nominations. DaBaby and Doja Cat racked up four nominations each as first-time nominees. Bad Bunny and Justin Bieber have 6 nominations. You can find the full list of nominees here.
While I’m excited to see Taraji and her wardrobe changes on the night, in this picture she was giving us a sultry, yet simple elegance wearing St. John Fall 2020.
The brand is well on its way to shaking off it’s “only for old lady’s” vibe if this picture is anything to go by.
I love the classic nature of the jacket which is made to feel more contemporary alongside the trousers which are cut to sit high on the waist, before falling to an exaggerated wide-leg silhouette.
As you can see from the model, the voluminous shape is amplified by delicate plissé pleating, but when it comes to Taraji I’m really blinded by the gorgeous red curls.
