Gia Coppola joined Maya Hawke on the red carpet for the ‘Mainstream’ Venice Film Festival photocall and premiere on Saturday (September 5) in Italy, where she put on a very colourful display.
Photocall: Gucci first introduced the poppy in Pre-Fall 2016 collection, but it gets a reboot for Pre-Fall 2020 in this two-piece set. I love how this look displays a play on proportions that represents Gucci’s version of femininity. I’m really glad she opted to wear the poppy print jacket, as I have a feeling the dress may have rendered a tad mature on its own for Gia. Gucci black accessories amped up the charming vibe of this look.
Premiere: The director made another bold statement in Gucci’s Resort 2020 tiered, embellished dress. We’ve seen styles like this from Gucci in the past. But thanks to the four colourways this dress, it gets a new lease of life. Gia will be donating her second Gucci dress to benefit two global charities – UN Women & Facing History and Ourselves.
RAD (Red Carpet ADvocacy) has partnered with celebrity stylist Elizabeth Stewart and her non-profit, Chic Relief, on a joint fundraising + advocacy campaign called RAD at Venice.
Talent, stylists and brands will donate red carpet looks that are worn throughout the festival for auction.
