Claudia Schiffer Celebrates Her 50th Birthday In Style With Gifts From Balmain, Dolce & Gabbana and Versace

Claudia Schiffer turned 50 years old on Tuesday (August 25), and it looks like she was thoroughly spoiled – as she should be – with a whole hosts of brands sending her gifts.

Dolce & Gabbana and Claudia have had a long history together.  She last featured in their Fall 2014 Forest campaign, and prior to that her last mainline ad for the Italian label was for the Resort 2009 season, plus she also posed in a fragrance ad for the brand. 

Stefano and Domenico gave her a multitude of luxurious items including the Dolce & Gabbana ‘IT’ bag for season, the ‘Devotion’ bag, which was customized for her.

Not only was the bag new, but so was her Dolce & Gabbana dress with the bustier and a form-fitting shape that elevated this LBD to liberating heights.

The gift which had my jaw on the floor was her one-of-a-kind blue Balmain gown.

Originally the dress was created in dark green which Claudia wore in the Balmain Spring 2014 ads campaign, alongside fellow supermodels Naomi Campbell and Cindy Crawford, which was shot by Steven Klein.

She loved it so much that Olivier Rousteing recreated the dress for her in this striking electric blue hue.

This final look is a signature slink dress from Versace, which has a place in any era of the Italian brands history.  

The dress needed little fanfare in terms of jewels, or bold makeup, as the dress sells itself.
