Greta Gerwig Wore Alexander McQueen To The 72nd Writers Guild Awards

While Gwyneth Paltrow was in LA, Greta Gerwig attended the 72nd Writers Guild Awards East Coast ceremony held at the Edison Ballroom on Saturday (February 1) in New York City.

The directors love for tailoring hasn’t waned.

While I haven’t been a huge fan of the majority of her choices, I did love how this Alexander McQueen look redefines modern tailoring with its refreshing creativity.

Here I see an injection of unshaken confidence, and poise brought about by the sharp tailoring, bold colours, contrasting peak lapels, and feminine shape that is enhanced through diagonal pockets, creating an illusion of a narrower waist.

Did she lose you with the pink accessories?

Personally, I would rather pink than red. 

There was already a lot of red going on here to add more to the equation. 

Pink lightly highlights the lapels.
