Newport Beach Film Festival UK Honours 2020

Newport Beach Film Festival sounds like it would be in sunny California, near a beach, but the 2020 UK Honours was hosted at The Langham Hotel on Wednesday (January 29) on a rainy day in London, but that didn’t dampen the spirits of the attendees.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw: The ‘Motherless Brooklyn’ actress was dazzling in a trapeze-style sequin dress from Prada, which I love mostly for the ancient Egyptian-style embellishment along the neckline.

Erin Doherty: Is there a thing as too much pink?  Or is it the shade of the Valentino Spring 2020 that’s too blinding?  I think the dress is super cute, but I wish the shoes had been just as exciting.

Alice Eve: Where do you start with this Stella McCartney Resort 2020 jumpsuit?   I know some of you have never been fans of McCartney, but on the right – taller – person, or with the right tailor, this could’ve been a great look for Alice.

Bel Powley:  The actress wore a Chloe Spring 2020 look which was perfectly styled with Pierre Hardy ‘Obi’ pumps, but I don’t get the gold and silver accent around the waist.
