Joey King Wore Area To The 18th Annual Visual Effects Society Awards

Joey King attended the 18th Annual Visual Effects Society Awards held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Wednesday (January 29) in Beverly Hills, California.

The young actress is never afraid to make bold statements on the red carpet. This was evident from each of her looks in 2019 – especially her Richard Quinn look.

On this occasion I was getting ’80s nightclub glamour from her Area Fall 2019 suit; due to the padded shoulders and cropped hems that are decorated with crystal-encrusted loops – I love how they shimmer.

You may think the matching trousers were too much, but I love the impact both pieces bring to this red carpet.

Were the accessories overkill?

Not for me.  This was the Visual Effects Society Awards after all. And what is more visually effective than electric blue?

Put it this way. I would prefer an injection of bold blue accessories – Carolina Santo Domingo Bangle clutch and Louboutin shoes – over could’ve been a grey, white or black pair of shoes.

This is why Joey is my one-to-watch for 2020.
