Billy Porter’s Gucci Double For The ‘Like A Boss’ World Premiere & 2020 National Board Of Review Gala

When it come to fashion, there is no character larger than life than Billy Porter.

The ‘Pose’ actor has hit the red carpet in 2020 running – at high speed.

Following his impressive outing at the Golden Globes, he served up two more looks for the ‘Like A Boss’ world premiere, and the 2020 National Board Of Review Gala.

‘Like A Boss’ World Premiere:   Dapper Dan – the original auteur of gangster chic – created this Gucci look which might not go down too well, on account of the fact that a lot is going on here. 

As beautiful as the cloak is, I didn’t understand why it was shaped this way. The von Trapp family drapes immediately spring to mind.

Then I saw additional pictures on Dapper Dan’s Instagram, and the piece made a little more sense.

I  love the rest of the look, especially the Coach 1941 Pre-Fall 2020 platform Turbo boots.

2020 National Board Of Review Gala:  Billy’s second Gucci look appears to be paying homage to the cool breezy style of 1970s Harlem.

I’m sure you’ll find this look considerably easier to digest – for those of you who are not averse to logo mania.

I adore the warm mix of colours here, but I wish the boots had matched his brown blazer.
