Laura Dern In Saint Laurent – 2020 Golden Globe Awards

Laura Dern In Saint Laurent - 2020 Golden Globe Awards

It’s a tough call whether Laura Dern’s luscious waves or bohemian dress won the red carpet at the 2020 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 5) in Beverly Hills.

Twitter is showing strong support for the hair, but her mane wouldn’t look the same without the luxe boho vibe from Saint Laurent’s gown. (Waves don’t suit every outfit after all).

Stylist Cristina Ehrlich said Laura’s recent looks have gone for feminine with a hard edge, and this dress is the perfect example. Gauzy sleeves and a deep neckline balanced with a dark floral pattern. There is a rock ‘n’ roll confidence to the outfit and the waves only make the look more effortless.

Laura won the award for Supporting Actress in ‘Marriage Story’, and I feel that the hair, and the dress were also winners.

I love the look….but not for the Golden Globes.

I don’t care about the hair… But the dress is stunning. I love it head to toe and I want it so badly 😉

It’s a gorgeous dress to someone else. Laura doesn’t do well with that hair, not for this event.

This vibe really suits her. She looks good. Not one of the best, but she looks good.

As lots of people said, this suits Laura’s personality and vibe. She won, so I wish she waved this for the Independent Spirit Awards or something and wore a more flash gown.

Meh. Doesn’t feel right for this event. Too laid back.
But at another event, I probably would of said yes.

Her hair is horrendous and brings the whole outfit down.

She looks lovely, but I am tired of the curtains of hair. A tiny change would be refreshing.

She looks beautiful, but this was too simple for the event.

Kinda loving the vibe, I think it works for her.

I like it, but it doesn’t feel GG appropriate.

I’m not a fan of dresses like this, but she looks great!

I think they were going for laid back cool but all this look is very ‘side part’ player than ‘main star’ quality.
I could see this killing at a photocall or the Spirit Independent Awards

The metallic embroidery and hints of jewel tones elevate the dress but it’s still good and not great

I do like the dress, but I think it’s too casual for the Golden Globes red carpet.

  16. Guest January 6, 2020 at 7:56 am #

    I kinda like it.
She seems a bit underdressed but this suits her.

I think it suits her style and personality. I definitely prefer it over yet another strapless column gown (which we saw so much of tonight)

I love the dress more than the hair

  19. Guest January 6, 2020 at 6:32 am #

With stronger beauty look and much better hairstyle, this would be OK, maybe for another event.

    This is very Stevie Nicks.

    Underwhelmed.
