Double nominee Ava DuVernay glistened at the 2019 Emmy Awards on Sunday evening (September 22).

She looked queenly in a custom Reem Acra gown.

The yellowish fabric with silver embellishment was a surprising contrast — all the more so considering we often associate her with colour.
