Gong Li In Ralph & Russo Couture - ‘The Dead Don’t Die’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere & Opening Ceremony

Gong Li joined Araya A. Hargate in representing Asia for the opening ceremony and premiere of ‘The Dead Don’t Die’ on Tuesday (May 14), during the 2019 Cannes Film Festival.

Chantilly lace is a Ralph & Russo signature, and the British brand has cast it over this Fall 2017 Couture gown for a sumptuous look, that some might say screams bridal, but the colours are platinum and mint rather than white.

I’m focusing on the elegant silhouette, the delicate detailing, and the opal crystals, beads and petit floral sequins that completes the style on an ornate note.

she needs to wear some color, come on,queen.
you know you looked radiant in colors.
This dress is quite cheap looking if you ask me, dosen’t match her status at all.

Too bridal, and not the kind I like.

    It’s too bridal for me

She looks beautiful, but the dress is a bit too overworked and bridal for my taste.

I like it better on her than the runways version but its not overly exciting.
Its pretty and dainty. I think the earrings are a bit fussy.

she said in an interview that she would only wear long earrings, if you go through her archive, she had only worn long earrings.
But I agree with you,the flower earrings are a bit too fussy and competes with the beading on the dress

O well. thats interesting! Did she specify the why of it?
hmm. I will now go thru her archive!
      thanks for the info!
and yes. Long earrings are wonderful….I just dont think they were the right ones for this dress.

This is lovely and delicate but nothing really memorable.
