The 50th NAACP Image Awards Dinner took place at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Friday (March 29) in California.
Marsai Martin: Huge congratulations to the ‘Black-ish’ actress who won an NAACP Image Award for ‘Outstanding Performance By A Youth’ and ‘Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series’. I really enjoy seeing how much her style has evolved since she hit the scene. This Bibhu Mohapatra Fall 2019 dress still says, “cute,” but with bit of sassy and flair. Nicholas Kirkwood sandals completed her look.
Marcus Scribner: Marsai’s TV big brother also has great style. Never one to play it safe, this Sebastian Cruz Couture suit was perfect for Spring, but seasons have never played a part in his love for colourful suits.
Uzo Aduba: Uncomplicated and modern, this Rosetta Getty Fall 2019 dress was one of those universally flattering pieces. Between the colour palette and soft tailoring, this was a great look for Uzo.
Trevor Jackson: The actor sure does love a turtleneck. It’s swiftly coming his signature. I’m in lust with the colour combo here, especially when the shoes were perfectly co-ordinated.
Gina Rodriguez: I love the blue hue of her Roland Mouret gown, but on this rare occasion, I think the folds – which are the designers signature – weren’t needed on the skirt.
Miles Brown: Seems like turtlenecks were trending on this red carpet. Miles joined his ‘Black-ish’ cast-mates wearing a custom Michael Ferrera suit. Who knew one so young so could look so sharp?
