Sabrina Sato In Tomo Koizumi – Baile da Vogue 2019

Sabrina Sato In Tomo Koizumi - Baile da Vogue 2019

São Paulo paid host to Vogue’s Brazil Ball, the traditional gala and fantasy party that closes the Carnival season.

Inspired by the opera, the ball welcomed fashionistas and famous names throughout the night on Saturday (March 23), in the hall of the Hotel Unique.

One person who immediately caught my eye was Sabrina Sato.

The Brazilian television presenter was the star attraction in her Tomo Koizumi Fall 2019 gown, which many on twitter have labeled the “piñata” or “candy floss dress.”

It’s sweet like candy, and just as colourful, so I have no issue with that.

The colours are only one part of what I love about this gown.

I love the dense ruffles that have become Tomo Koizumi’s signature.  The grace in which Sabrina carries this gown, which could’ve overwhelmed her.

And the effortless styling.

Any extraness would’ve taken this into clown territory, so I’m glad she opted for restraint.

Do you think Sabrina pulled this off?

I have to say that if I never see another dress like this it will be just fine. This dense ruffling just doesn’t do it for me.

Explosion at the ruffle factory. The pooling hem ruins the entire look completely, I think the it’s even long for someone like Erin O’Connor. This is what you wear when you wanna smuggle people from under your skirt. Looking at the tents in the skirt I wouldn’t be surprised if few kids hid under there. If it had been of decent proportions it would have been on my BDOTY list. Opportunity lost I guess.

I meant to write that the skirt would have been long even for someone as tall as Erin

It’s a fun dress, probably perfect for the occasion. The skirt is actually quite beautiful, but together with the bulky top it all becomes a bit too much.

Too bad she’s completely lost in this…not her fault the model is also overwhelmed.
I like the happy colors, but thats all I got.

She’s not selling me this at all. It’s fun for a show or editorial but that’s probably it.

She looks like a pinata. And looks about as good one can when dressed like a pinata.

Agreed. She’s as dignified as a piñata can be.

” She’s as dignified as a piñata can be” LOL of the day.
