Lady Gaga In Valentino Haute Couture – 2019 Golden Globe Awards

It’s a big night for Lady Gaga at the 2019 Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills, given her well-esteemed work in ‘A Star Is Born.’

As the singer-actress is never one to step quietly, she had a go-big moment in a Valentino Fall 2018 Haute Couture gown that swept me off my feet.

The impossibly long dress with its billowy sleeves was a romantic dream that took over the red carpet — and, later, the awards stage. I actually prefer Lady Gaga’s version to the original runway design.

Despite its dramatic proportions, the dress still boasted an enticing softness on behalf of its light lavender hue completed by her platinum updo and that sparkling, diamond Tiffany & Co. necklace.

I love this so much! She has been picking the most gorgeous gowns. The only aspect I can’t get behind her dyed hair.

Dramatic and beautiful. Can’t wait for her Oscars look

I actually appreciate Lady Gaga´s effort. Golden Globe Awards is suppose to be a WOW event. But this year’s outfits were really underwhelming. She is the only one that makes an impact. Tombs up.

The dress is wearing her, sorry.

  5. Luna January 7, 2019 at 2:44 pm #

I much prefer her red carpet to the runway version. It’s sort of more of the same but she looks great in these types of dresses.

I’m surprised so many people here aren’t liking this. As someone esle has done, I’d definitely also recommend for people to look up other pictures – and videos of it. I totally loved it, she looked amazing and was one of the only ones to bring some drama.

Only the color is nice; everything else is a huge mess….she is drowning in fabric and is definitely not tall enough to pull this dress and the hair, omggggggggg

    Just No

Not sure about the matching hair colour but I’m enjoying the the rest of it alot.

  9. Fiona-Brasil January 7, 2019 at 9:57 am #

    Best dressed of the night!

I don’t mind the hair but this fabric never does it for me on the red carpet especially in full blown dresses. It sits in a weird way, too many creases… It’s just not happening for me.
    Great necklace

I know that being OTT is a Gaga thing but I wish she would’ve wore something more subtle instead of this big dress.

Only thing I like is the color.

  12. TinaL January 7, 2019 at 6:41 am #

The color of the dress is the only thing I like from this look.

+3 over the top and not in a good way

That hair is SUCH a let down. I swear, it looks like someone spray painted it. Or it’s like those temporary hair chalks kids use to colour their hair.

For a gown that is so romantic, gorgeous and beautiful in it’s own right, the makeup is also way too harsh for me. I’m always let down by Gaga’s beauty and I feel like on countless occasions, it brings down her whole look.

This orange and blue does not wow me.
Skin color too orange. Hair color is childish.
The dress is veering to prom-y territory. It looks cheap.

Y’all, this was NOT an intentional tribute to Judy Garland. She stated so on the red carpet.

I’m assuming by these comments that not a lot of people actually saw this look on screen. Stills do not do it justice. Do yourselves a favor and check it out, your opinions may perhaps change. I thought she looked breathtaking.

  16. Ruth January 7, 2019 at 3:57 am #

    She looks out of place.

  17. Taylor January 7, 2019 at 3:13 am #

I love the tribute to Judy’s ASIB but I cannot with this look. Her hair looks terrible and ruins the look for me. She also looked orange on TV and her makeup was way too harsh. Gemma Chan was KILLING it in Valentino and looked stunning but Gaga was a hard pass for me tonight.

  18. Aminet January 7, 2019 at 3:11 am #

    The hair ruins it.

  19. quimby January 7, 2019 at 3:07 am #

I gasped at first sight, but the longer I look at it the more basic it gets. Still, the color is a stunner and she looks absolutely gorgeous.

It’s not my favourite ‘Gaga goes move star’ look but I love her for always bringing the drama and staying true to her personal style, which is why I am more than ok with the blue hair.

  21. JHH January 7, 2019 at 3:06 am #

Oh, if only this fit properly through the bodice. These are huge moments and stars have stylists. Is it too much to ask that couture outfits actually fit? And no to matching the hair color to the dress.

  22. Santiago January 7, 2019 at 3:05 am #

Love the original idea but I see too much fabric and not the first Valentino with so much fabric. That lavender is gorgeous.

This is so extra and I am living for it!

  24. argentina January 7, 2019 at 3:05 am #

It’s not my favorite look from Gaga but I have to give it to her for shutting down the red carpet.
The colour, the length, the styling and the overall sense of drama. That’s the best thing about this whole promo tour/award season run for Gaga, she is displaying her whole uniqueness in a way we have not seen before from her and she keeps being a delight event after event.

    • Santiago January 7, 2019 at 3:06 am #

      Otro argentino 😀

  25. Real Nat39 January 7, 2019 at 3:03 am #

Reads pageant/ball, and I hate the matching grandma hair.

  26. Jack January 7, 2019 at 2:59 am #

Best dressed of the week! She nailed it! That necklace is AMAZING OMG!

  27. Lena markle January 7, 2019 at 2:57 am #

Before the haters starts complaining about her hair, remember it’s Lady Gaga and she’s not one of your basic actresses, it’s Gaga we are talking about!

She slayed me and my entire existence! She gave me life! Can’t wait for the rest of this award season!

    • Santiago January 7, 2019 at 3:01 am #

I would have loved that hair colour if it had been well-dyied. Sorry.

      • Santiago January 7, 2019 at 3:02 am #

        Dyed*

    • HL January 7, 2019 at 3:09 am #

Not a hater here, but I don’t have to bear it in mind that this is Lady Gaga we are talking about or not. The one thing I care about is simple: does it look good? IMO, NOPE.

    • Fanny January 7, 2019 at 3:12 am #

I love the hair! This award season is gonna be amazing.

    • Lorne January 7, 2019 at 3:14 am #

Lol being Gaga is not a qualifier. She looks terrible and the hair is ruining the look. The dress on the model isn’t even that great but Gaga just isn’t pulling it off at all for me.

      • meme January 7, 2019 at 2:37 pm #

+1 … that hair is atrocious and the dress looks cheap.

        • brat January 7, 2019 at 5:35 pm #

+2 this is a no, she had much better looks last year.

  28. Caroline January 7, 2019 at 2:54 am #

I loved her attempt to honour Judy Gardland but this did not wow me.
