We had rolled up the red carpet for the week, but Kate Bosworth wasn’t quite done with the promotion for her film, ‘Nona,’ which saw her serve up three more looks – making it eight in 48 hours – on Friday (December 7).
Morning: Kate started off her day in New York wearing a Proenza Schouler teal retro-inspired suit paired with a printed Chloe shirt to amp up that ’70s vibe. I’m buying nearly everything this look is selling. The shades and cuffs really complement the look, but on this occasion I wish I couldn’t see the shoes.
Afternoon: Now this might just be one of my favourite suited looks of 2018. Looking so clean, sharp and crisp in Gabriela Hearst’s Spring 2019 double-breast suit, this picture looks like a feature in Vogue magazine. Refined accessories was key to making this work, and both her caramel pumps and Benedetta Bruzziches ‘Brigitta’ bag ensured a supremely elegant finish.
New York Premiere: Initially, I wasn’t crazy about this Calvin Klein Spring 2019 dress mostly because of the shapelessness of it all. But from the close ups, I was able to appreciate the finer details, including the bow which drapes off the dress with a harness. I’m not sure it will go down well the majority, but this bold mix of prints was a perfect way to round off an impressive two days .
Sometimes multiple looks in one day can feel forced, and overwhelming; but I think Kate’s run appeared effortless and thankfully free from gimmicks.
