Michelle Obama Promotes Her New Book In New York City

Michelle Obama Promotes Her New Book In New York City

Former First Lady Michelle Obama paid a visit to The Lower Eastside Girls Club to meet and greet the members and discuss her new book ‘Becoming’ on Saturday (December 01) in New York City.

While Mrs O known for her love for J. Crew and sheath dresses; post-office, Mrs O’s style has a little bit more bite.

Take this military inspired ADEAM Spring 2019 look for example.

Alluring worn close to the shoulder, the jeans – although a tad too long – amp up the cool vibe of this look.

I’m not sure if it’s a conscious decision, but Michelle has mostly only worn trousered looks during this promo tour.

Do you love Michelle’s post-office style?

It is a conscious decision. Her stylist said there were trying to stay away from the dresses as those were a trademark of FLOTUS while Michelle Obama’s style is definitely “edgier”. They also want to shed some light on lesser known, more contemporary designers. I love their partnership & intent even is the delivery is not always perfect.

I like her look. She looks youthful and comfortable. Michelle knows her style and always looks confident and often a little quirky which I like.

I don’t find this very flattering on Mrs. O. Her hair though is gorgeous — #hairgoals.

This is extremely unflattering on her. Love it on the model.

Love Lady O, I think I prefer the looser pants as presented on the runway, but still a sharp look on her.

The pants are bit too long but this is cool, modern and accessible.
