Rosamund Pike In Givenchy Haute Couture – ‘A Private War’ Toronto International Film Festival Premiere

Rosamund Pike In Givenchy Haute Couture - 'A Private War' Toronto International Film Festival Premiere

Toronto International Film Festival may be coming to an end soon (on September 16), but the mesmerizing red carpet looks keep on coming.

This time it was Rosamund Pike’s turn to take to the red carpet for her premiere of ‘A Private War’ on Friday (September 14) in Canada.

If your first thought was “rubber and fringe shouldn’t work together,” hold that thought and look again, because it does.

In this Givenchy Spring 2018 Haute Couture look we have a unique combination which marries classic ’20s elegance with unexpectedly chic rubberized materials.

My greatest admiration it held for how well Rosamund is selling the look. She trusted Ryan Hastings and Clare Waight Keller with this unique look, and it totally paid off.

This might have worked (barely) on Tilda Swinton but it’s extremely unconvincing on Rosamund.

    What even is this?

I normally can’t stand Ryan Hastings’ work with women (he’s great with Robert Pattinson), but this is a win.

I’m sorry but this looks like a used condom to me.

This is just awful. The skirt looks cheap and doesn’t work with that top at all.

I am still at rubber and fringe should not work together because nothing I see here has caused me to rethink that. I find this unflattering and a strange mix of textures and silhouettes.

I’m also kinda surprised how well this is working! LOVE it!

I thought this was so cool after seeing it on the runway, but didn’t think we would see it on the red carpet! I’m so happy to be wrong because Rosamund rocks this.

It’s interesting but I don’t like how the fringing ends, I want to trim it at the end of top.
