March 19, 2018 Runway To Red Carpet

Kate Bosworth In Sally LaPointe, Frame, Annie Bing & Sonia Rykiel – 2018 Sun Valley Film Festival

Kate Bosworth was making the rounds at the 2018 Sun Valley Film Festival over the weekend in Idaho.

The actress fired up the room at the festival’s Pioneer Party held in her honour on Friday (March 16).

I loved every minute of this Sally LaPointe Fall 2018 ensemble—and how it delivered a flash of incredibly chic flair to her log cabin surrounds.

The play on textures and tones, between the nubby poncho, the red shirt and the stellar sequin trousers, was the magic here—together with Kate’s sleek bun and dramatic winged eye.

I don’t know about you, but this is a master class in dressing for the height of winter with the height of glamour—and precisely what I want to wear in a log cabin.

Also on Friday (March 16), Kate was at the Sun Valley Film Festival premiere of ‘Nona.’

This Frame Denim jumpsuit, styled with an Annie Bing blouse, was a completely different look from her red-hot moment, but no less chic in its own right.

The casual yet polished sweetness of it all is what drew me in—with the bell sleeves a romantic, feminine counterpoint to the structured jumpsuit.

The actress rounded out her Sun Valley weekend on Saturday (March 17) at the Awards Bash.

You may initially find this Sonia Rykiel Pre-Fall 2018 look a bit on the low-key side for a party. But, that’s the charm of it all.

Not only was it perfectly in tune with the more laid-back nature of Sun Valley, the finer details of the effortless ensemble—including the embellished shoulders and sparkling piping that ran up and down the pieces—added a festively style-forward component.

As you said, the play with textures is very well executed, you need to be ” in the know” in order to do it correctly. I love it.

i have to agree. The red is a great colour, but I am not a big fan of the sweater nor the shoes.

I agree. I don’t like mismatched reds. The middle look is OK but nothing memorable.

I like the red look though the shoes seem like an afterthought.

  9. TeaAtTwo March 19, 2018 at 11:49 pm #

The first is my favourite, though I would have kept the red going into the shoes. The other cosy is casual chic and cosy.
